Emergency rations
Its always useful to have a quick energy boost in case of cyclists "bonk" - it's not rude, just google wikipedia "hitting the wall" if you need to know more. Its when all energy drains out of your body to get you to rest up for a while. It comes from nowhere without warning and momentarily you can't go on.
A small portion of cold porridge with added banana and fruits of the forest can hopefully get you over the final 20 miles.
I've also got some fruit and nut which is a great help if hunger strikes.
